An Overview of Our Medication-Assisted Treatment in South Jersey
Solstice Counseling & Wellness Center offers MAT programs for substance abuse for individuals throughout South Jersey. During our medication-assisted treatment in South Jersey detox treatment centers, we utilize behavioral therapies and counseling sessions with medications to provide patients with treatment for their addictions and medical disorders.
There are three different medications we offer during our MAT programs for substance abuse:
Suboxone
This buprenorphine and naloxone product can reduce symptoms of both opioid addiction and withdrawal. Patients will be able to take Suboxone as either a strip that dissolves in their mouths or a traditional pill.
Sublocade
Because Sublocade can block the rewarding effects of opioids in patients, it is used toward the end of the treatment program. It is administered via injection once a month.
Vivitrol
Lastly, there is Vivitrol, a naltrexone product that helps patients prevent relapse. Vivitrol is also delivered with a once-a-month injection. However, it is imperative that patients avoid drinking alcohol during that time.
